Quantitative Data

For the RUTF Supply Chain Articulation project, the following data sets were collected and used for data processing:

– Shipment data from both UNICEF and the international transporter
– Procurement data and costs of procurement
– Production capacity, times, and cost
– Customs processing times and costs
– In-country transportation times
– Warehouse locations and capacity
– Distribution time from the warehouse

The following data were not available but would have been useful:

– Data on transshipment times
– Cost of local transportation
– Per-order costs of in-country warehousing
– Patent coverage
– Price of RUTF inputs and ingredients

When possible, the data were checked for accuracy by cross-referencing data sets and by speaking to the stakeholder responsible for the data collection. The data were compiled into one spreadsheet for data processing.
