Pratt in Costa Rica (July 2nd 2018-August 12th 2018, Instructor: Elizabeth Bucholz)
I studied Spanish and BME 271 (Signals and Systems) while in San Jose, Costa Rica. The final project was to develop software that could accurately identify several species of birds (and a cow!) by inputing their bird call (or moo). Surprisingly, it worked and it was a very cool experience!
This experience further developed my knowledge in BME overall as well as immersed me in Costa Rican culture, which increased my awareness for the needs of medical/health technology in Latin America.
Hours: 1008 (6 week program)
