The Grand Challenge Scholars program would allow me, as an undergraduate engineering student, to tackle a major problem in the world today using an interdisciplinary, multifaceted approach. I am interested in addressing the Grand Challenge of Engineering Better Medicines through tissue engineering research, classes that help me understand the needs of patients, and exposure to health entrepreneurship, as well as global and service experiences. This multifaceted approach would give me a broader perspective and more tools to approach the pressing issue of engineering better medicines.
