Chemistry
About Carlos: Carlos obtained his B.S. in Chemistry from Emory University in 2021. While at Emory, he conducted research under Dr. Bill Wuest in the Chemistry Department small molecule compounds with activity against Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Carlos joined the Franz lab in December 2021. Outside of lab he enjoys reading, and swimming.
Research Project: Carlos’s project focuses on understanding protein thermodynamic folding stability changes from excess copper in the fungal organism Candida albicans.
