Project Objectives

In 2008, Defenders of Wildlife conducted a study valuing the services provided to Floridians by ecosystems on 10 state owned conservation lands.   This study found that the 10 conservation lands provided ecosystem services averaging $5,052/acre.  Our client found this data useful in engaging with the broader public on the value of its’ conservation lands.

The goal of this study is to build upon the previous study by providing our client with a valuation of even more conservation lands held by the State.
