Families Moving Forward
In 2025, FEMMES+ started working with Families Moving Forward (FMF) in Durham to provide free educational enrichment for their students. Similar to the FEMMES+ After-School and Saturday programs, our work with FMF aims to expose students to more applications of science, engineering, and math in the form of engaging and impactful activities. Past activities have included a parachute building competition, creating a model of the solar system, and building a model of the lungs. Through this partnership, we hope to foster long-term relationships in the Durham community while empowering students underrepresented in STEM with constant encouragement to pursue their interests.
