Remote – Realize Design – Digital Marketing Intern

Reporting to: Head of Business Development

Home, apartment, or dorm design can be laborious, and moving furniture and taking measurements can be stressful. There is always the risk of purchasing an item that does not fit in the space, and transferring these responsibilities to an interior designer is expensive. With the increasingly virtual world, more and more purchases are made online. Customers often find it challenging to envision how furniture they see online will look in their homes.

Realize was created to address each of these pain points for consumers and make the design process personalized, social, and easy.

With only a 60 second video of their room, customers can see a 3D model of their space on their phone. From there, they can browse and shop for furniture, dragging items in to see how they would fit and look, with all the measuring done by the tech.

Design is a social experience, so consumers will also be able to connect with friends on the app, design together, or even follow people who inspire them.

Key responsibilities include:
– Creating digital content for our social media (Instagram, TikTok, Reddit) and blog
– Being part of the ideation process for marketing campaigns
– Copywriting and editing

The Logistics:

Work as a technical project manager for Apollo Development, a technical development company.

You will lead a small team (usually of 2-5 software engineers, data scientists, and graphic designers) on various interesting medium length projects (usually 3-12 months). Previous projects include data modelling for a medium sized private jet company, web app/machine learning work for the department of defense, and a web/mobile application for an innovative beverage company. Durham – Audacity Labs – Facilitator/Coach for High School Entrepreneurship Summer Camps

Audacity Labs: Summer Entrepreneurship Camps for Durham Public Schools 9th-12th grade

Position Title: Facilitator/Coach

Position Description:
• Implement Camp Curriculum (based on IDEO Design Kit for Entrepreneurship)
• Facilitate Workshops (utilizing an async workflow from REV Accelerator and Slack)
• Manage Speakers per week
• Mentor during Office Hours
• Coordinate breaks and lunch
• Collect and analyze data, including pre/post surveys, attendance

Camps will be offered during the following weeks:

1. June 14, 2021 (9:30 AM – 3:30 PM)

Join the Apollo Development Engineering team on reserve, working on projects you’re interested in and have time for.

The specific engineering roles that are available are:

– Front-End Web Development: You would be responsible for UI/UX development on web apps. Must have experience with one or more web frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)

– Front-End Cross-Platform Mobile Development: You would be responsible for UI/UX development on mobile apps for both iOS and Android. Must have experience with one or more cross-platform frameworks (Flutter, React Native, etc.)

– Front-End Native Mobile Development: You would be responsible for UI/UX development on mobile apps for either iOS or Android. Must have experience with either Java/Kotlin or Swift

– Server Development: You would be responsible for developing back ends for web or mobile applications. Must have experience developing back-ends for either web or mobile applications (python, node.js, etc.)
Cloud Development: You would be responsible for app deployment and management of cloud platforms. Must have experience with either GCP or AWS

– Database Development: Have built and deployed any databases (Postgres, MySQL, Firebase, GraphQL, etc.)

– Data Science: Experience with data modeling and comfortable with processing and analyzing data.

– Machine Learning: Understand core principles and have implemented ML solutions in code
