Remote – Embarc – Chief Technical Officer

Embarc – Chief Technical Officer

Who We Are: Embarc is a running technology company with an all-Duke founding team. We generate running routes wherever our athletes are based on their preferred distance, elevation, terrain, and more to challenge and inspire them to explore their communities by foot.

Additionally, we’re building a component of our app that will apply this standalone route generating technology to prepare our athletes for upcoming races. We’ll analyze a runner’s upcoming racecourse, identify its challenging features, and then create a training plan for the runner featuring custom routes in their community mimicking the course. This precise training helps runners reach peak potential on

If you’re a self-starter that wants to take on a rewarding, challenging role, please get in touch! This position will yield significant equity compensation.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in converting our complex route generating algorithm to a compiled language (Rust or Golang).

• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

Remote – Real Estate Tech Startup – Website Developer

Website Developer (unpaid)

 About our venture

This is a student-run venture founded by two students, one at Duke and one at Cornell. Our venture is a real estate matching service that provides landlords and tenants with the best fit possible by reversing the rental process. Think eHarmony for real estate.

We have proven demand through market research and developed a functional wireframe for the product. Our website developer will be tasked with building the front and back end of this platform as a minimum viable product (MVP) and eventually a fully functional website.

Job Requirements

·      Full stack development experience

·      Willing to learn about the real estate industry and our product’s implications

·      Willing to take part in entrepreneurship programs offered through Duke and Cornell
