Intro to Venga
Venga (vengaclimb.com) is an early-stage software startup right here in Durham – we help climbing gyms grow. We solve climbing gyms’ membership and retention problems by providing novel technological solutions to increase engagement and build community within these gyms. Our B2B SAAS platform allows gyms to run ongoing adult leagues with minimal time and effort.
Design & Marketing Internship
Join Venga this summer to get your feet wet designing for a tech startup. For this internship you’ll be learning the ins and outs of designing in a fast paced environment, how to make lean decisions based on research and feedback, and some tools for what it takes to be an entrepreneur. You’ll be mentored closely by our COO Court Skabelund, who has a masters in design from RISD and experience in UX at fitness tech startups. Our team normally works out of American Underground in downtown, but we are able to support working remotely if necessary at that time! Work schedule is flexible.
Role & Responsibilities
The tentative goal of the internship will be to launch and manage a marketing campaign. This will include assets for social media, email, and web as well as delivering reports based on engagement. An ideal candidate will take ownership of this project and create engaging content to help promote the Venga brand, and can have a big impact on our operations this summer.
