Intro: Hi! My name is Arsheen and I am CEO and Founder of GOLeafe Inc. I graduated from Fuqua with my MBA in 2017. I have a background in Materials Science and Engineering.

Company description:

GOLeafe is an innovative US based company producing advanced materials to solve the world’s most pressing problems. We are exploring applications in clean energy, i.e. alternative technologies for energy generation and energy storage, as well as water desalination. We are looking to expand our team with bright new talent! We are currently looking to fill 2 positions ASAP or over the summer- descriptions below:

Project 1

Qualifications:

Studying Electrical Engineering with experience in batteries

Job Description:

Looking for an electrical engineering student who can engineer an optimized energy storage device using new materials. Materials will be provided. The student will be responsible for:

  1. Precisely measuring and layering various materials (with separators, electrolyte, etc.) for this prototype.
  2. Identifying and testing various electrolytes and report back on effect on efficiency.
  3. Collecting voltage and amperage data on the prototype device, as well as charge/discharge cycles, using a potentiostat.
  4. Finding the best substrate as well as binder (glue) for the material by checking conductivity and stability of the material.

Student should be proficient in the use of characterization equipment including SEM, AFM, XRD, Raman, UV/Vis.

Project 2

Qualifications:

Studying Electrical Engineering with experience working in solar. Student must have understanding of effects on band gap and carrier density.

Job Description:

Looking for a student with interest and experience with solar panels. The student will create an optimized panel using various new materials, not silicon. Materials will be provided. The student will be responsible for:

  1. Precisely measuring and layering various materials and creating a prototype of the panel.
  2. Using a solar simulator as well as ambient environment, the student will monitor energy absorption rates across the light spectrum and collect data.
  3. He/she will will need to try various materials for collecting/transporting the charge/electrons.
  4. Finding the best substrate as well as binder (glue) for the graphene by checking conductivity and stability of the material.

Student should be proficient in the use of characterization equipment including SEM, AFM, XRD, Raman, UV/Vis.
