Kristina (Krissy) Sakers Hays, PhD
Research Specialist III
Krissy received her Bachelor’s from Rutgers University. She did her PhD in Dr. Joe Dougherty’s lab at Washington University in Saint Louis where she investigated local translation in astrocytes. Krissy joined the Eroglu lab as a postdoc in 2018, during which she was an NINDS F32 recipient, and is now a research specialist. Her projects concern the mechanisms underpinning astrocyte maturation in both cell biological and epigenetic contexts. She loves to spend time with her husband, two kids and their two dogs.
