Getting Started with LinkedIn Learning …
First off, login to LinkedIn Learning from this page. You’ll use your NetID and Password just like Lynda, but the LinkedIn Learning experience is a little different, especially first time in:
- You’ll be asked if you want to link your LinkedIn account
- Either way will work. If you elect to link your account, you’ll get course recommendations based on their analysis of your profile. It’s not required.
- You’ll be asked what topics you’re interested in using the tabs Creative, Business, Technology.
- You’ll need to select something in order to continue. Whatever you select, it will not limit your search abilities.
- Not sure? Select Technology. Everyone likes tech.
- Finally, you’re asked if you would like to set a goal for learning.
- Not required.
- You’ll need to select something in order to continue. Whatever you select, it will not limit your search abilities.
Once you get past the opening, we recommend that you select the Take a Tour button located in the Welcome to LinkedIn Learning header.
Here’s what a typical course looks like – this is the Essentials of Team Collaboration course that was added just in the last couple of weeks. On the left is a menu detailing each video in the course. The video player is located to the right along with detailed information about the instructor and the course.
