Hi! My name is Megan Richards, and I’m a junior from Orlando, FL studying ECE/CS with a minor in Global Health. I love most anything technology meets social good, and most of my work has been in healthcare. I’m so excited to help showcase and connect SWE women to some innovative companies and projects!
Otherwise at Duke, I sing in the Duke Chorale, am an RA in Few, and am on a research team with Duke’s Center for Global Women’s Health Technologies. For my freshman summer, I was a Huang Fellow with Duke’s Initiative for Science and Society and worked on a cervical cancer screening device with the GWHT lab, and this past summer I was a software development intern at AthenaHealth. My favorite spots on campus are the Mary Lou on Jazz nights, the tables on the first floor of Ruby on weekends, and of course anywhere Nugget is
I love meeting new people, so please don’t hesitate to reach out- I’d love to grab coffee and talk Duke, SWE, engineering, health, coffee vs. tea, whatever!
