Community Resources

ACCESS THE COMMUNITY RESOURCE DIRECTORY HERE

Given the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, various organizations and resources that support Durham community members and meet neighborhood needs may have adjusted operations, such as hours of operations or modes of service outreach and aid.

This document serves as a tool for all Durham residents to consult for updated organizational changes, as well as a guide to locate new resources. Categories of resources include food, transportation, housing, financial, employment/training, youth development, access to medical care, social & emotional health, criminal justice system, and domestic or intimate partner violence. This document provides information such as purpose, eligibility, name, status during COVID-19, website links, contact information, language information, accessibility, location, and hours of operation for each organization. Note that this guide does not aim to promote any certain organization, but rather serve as an information hub.

This is a live document created by Duke students in the Student Collaborative on Health Policy (SCOHP) organization, Duke University Bass Connections Help Desk project team, and the Community Empowerment Fund. Information was built upon data from the existing Help Desk CBO (Community Based Organization) Directory, and layout was informed by the Durham Community Empowerment Fund (CEF) COVID-19 spreadsheet. Data will be consistently updated by student volunteers and suggestions from the public are welcome. Furthermore, while this document encompasses many services available, not all may be included. New resources may be added continuously.
