Mentors will have the final say on the selection of students. After RSP receives all student applications, we will forward the mentors the top 5 student applications that are most well-suited to the mentor’s research area.
The mentor will then be able to interview any number of the 5 students (depending on availability) and select 1 to 2 students that they would like to work with.
However, it is important to note that we may not be able to accommodate all mentors. Our foremost priority are the students. It is our responsibility that the students will have a meaningful experience in RSP.
Last year, we received 200 student and 24 mentor applications. In the end, we were only able to accommodate 17 students and 15 mentors across 10 disciplines. This year, we will be able to increase the number of accepted students and mentors dramatically.
