What will you do this spring break?

Spring Break Mission Trip
March 10-19, 2017!

Journey to Haiti with Family Health Ministries
Loving our neighbor across race, class, and culture

After a year of local mission engagement, PCM+ will travel abroad to engage in global mission through mission partners in Haiti.  The mission team will spend the week engaging in local service, worshipping with Haitians in City Soleil, listening to the gifts and challenges of life in Haiti, and looking for where Christ is alive and at work in a different part of the world.  We engage in these trips knowing that the Holy Spirit has gone before us and it is our job to listen, learn, and witness Christ’s presence in another part of the world.

Partners in Mission: Family Health Ministries is committed to building healthy families and healthy communities by developing long-term relationships with people and communities ‘in need’. Family Health Ministries has lots of Durham and Duke connections alongside its long-standing commitment to Haitians.  To travel in partnership with them means that while our time in Haiti is limited, we can be part of the cloud of witnesses working together to build healthy communities.

Itinerary is still unfolding, so check back for more details!

To Apply for the Mission Team to Haiti, please apply by December 1st.  Applications are received on a first-come, first-serve basis until our guaranteed 12 spaces are filled. If you have questions or concerns about the trip or desire to learn more, please contact Katie Owen Aumann at katie.aumann@duke.edu.

Applications will be available later this fall.

Presbyterian Campus Ministry: Haiti 2012

Duke students teamed up with students from NCState and East Carolina University to live, laugh, and love alongside our Haitian brothers and sisters at St. Joseph’s Home for Boys (Port au Prince, Haiti) and Wings of Hope (Fermathe, Haiti).  We learned to see the face of Christ in strangers who quickly became friends.
