Hunger & Homelessness

  • Duke From Houses to Homes

From Houses to Homes is a nonprofit organization that fights poverty in Guatemala through sustainable housing, education, and healthcare. As the Duke branch, we wish to expand the horizons of the Blue Devil community concerning Guatemalan culture, language and tradition, through campus events, travel, and volunteerism. Another major component will be our annual trip to Guatemala, where students from our club will directly serve From Houses to Homes in Antigua by physically building homes, volunteering in the medical clinic, and tutoring children at Kemna’oj school.
