Welcome Back!

Hey everybody!!

Welcome back for the Spring 2015 semester! We’re ready to roll strong this year, with some actual events in the works. Excited to see you all!

Just a quick check…what time would work best for YOU, the individual student, next week for a first meeting? Respond to me at either atk9@duke.edu or 801-243-3736. We want to get rolling ASAP, so please respond as quickly as you can!

God Bless!

Thursday Dinner and Pan-OCF Dinner

Just a reminder, this is the first week of the month, so come to Gussy’s food truck by the Chapel at 6:00 PM FOR FREE GREEK FOOD.

Also, keep your calendars marked…on the 11th (next Tuesday), UNC OCF is hosting a Pan-Triangle OCF dinner. Exact time and place are TBD, but it’s bound to be full of food, fellowship, and fun.

Hope you all have been having a great week thus far, and continue to finish out on a good note!

God Bless!

First *Official* OCF Meeting This Friday

Good Evening everyone! Thank you again for showing your interest in the
Orthodox Christian Fellowship at Duke.  It’s been a rocky start, but we’re on
the road to going strong, and we look forward to your participation!

I know that it is a little short notice (especially in an environment as hectic
as Duke’s), but we are hoping to have our first *official* meeting this Friday
at 5:15 in the Bryan Center.  We will be discussing the agenda for this
semester, thinking of ideas (and outreach) for next semester, and discussing
cooperation with our brothers and sisters at UNC Chapel Hill.

ALSO important: please take this survey @

so that we can better decide future meeting times, assemble rides for church
and other events, and perform better outreach.

Any questions, comments, or concerns?  Want to see the agenda ahead of time?
Email me at atk9@duke.edu and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

St. Barbara’s Annual Back To School And Family Picnic

St. Barbara’s Annual Back to School and Family Picnic is this Sunday!  The Parish Council has extended a special invitation to all the college students in the area to come and socialize.  Food will be hotdogs and hamburgers with all the trimmings….if you want to bring any deserts to share, that would be awesome, but by no means are you required to do so! We hope to see you there!

NOTE: Church attire this Sunday is Picnic Attire!

We are online and ready to roll!

Welcome, everyone, to the homepage of the Duke Orthodox Christian Fellowship!  We are very happy to have you, and hope that you are as comfortable here as on any other site.  Our aim is to unite all of our Orthodox brothers and sister at Duke University in spiritual fellowship and genuine friendship.  If you have any questions about our faith or anything that we do, please, feel free to contact us at dukeocf@gmail.com, as well as follow us on Twitter (@dukeocf).  We will updating this page regularly with news on campus, so be sure to check back!

God Bless!
