Working at the Intersection of Environmental Law, Policy, and Science

Are you interested in developing and advancing environmental policies? If so, you should attend the panel discussion Working at the Intersection of Environmental Law, Policy, and Science on Thursday, April 18th, from 12:30-1:30 pm in room 4042 of the Law School (lunch provided). The panel will explore how legal professionals, policy advisors, and scientists collaborate to advance and implement environmental laws and policies. More specifically, speakers will share their experiences working at the EPA, NC DEQ, and SELC and how they communicate complex environmental issues to different audiences, including the general public, legislators, and judges. There will even be a discussion about becoming an expert witness and scientists’ vital role in environmental litigation. Please RSVP at https://forms.gle/jYgTcopeBQV3VNdk8 and contact Caitlyn Leary (caitlyn.leary@duke.edu) or Chelsea Nielsen (cn138@duke.edu) if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!
The panel is being hosted by Duke Nature and the Environmental Law Society and is generously supported by Duke Alumni Engagement and Development.
