Veterans Victory Lap 5k

This VETERANS DAY WEEKEND,  we invite you to help us honor and connect veterans and the community by running a victory lap at Duke University’s East Campus to benefit a local veteran
non-profit
. Thousands of veterans in the Triangle region are running their “second lap”, exploring new careers and new communities after service in the armed forces. We aim to highlight the efforts by and for veterans in our communities to ensure that second lap is a “Victory Lap.”

Proceeds from the race go to support BunkerLabs-RDU, a non-profit dedicated to helping veterans successfully transition into small business and entrepreneurship – right here in the Triangle region!

Volunteers needed!  We need 25 volunteers for the 5K run on Sunday, November 10.  Volunteers are needed at the check in, along the route, and water stations.  Veterans with certified medical training are needed to support an Aid Station.   Thanks to those who have already volunteered.  Others can contact Randy Garcia at 919-684-9692 | randy.garcia@duke.edu
