Your new Duke home for all things film.
For the last four years, the Duke Independent Film Festival has served the sole purpose of providing the only on-campus destination for Duke’s student filmmakers to showcase their short form cinematic talents every April. As our organization turns five, we remain committed to hosting the festival yet again in the second semester of the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. However, as DIFF continues to age, we aim to not only host an excellent film festival every spring, but to provide new and unique ways for Duke’s students to engage with the cinematic arts.
With o-week just around the corner, DIFF’s executive team is excited to announce the launch of our brand new Editorial page on our website! With the goal of providing a film coverage experience tailored for college students, DIFF’s staff of writers will be publishing multiple articles per week so that all of the film lovers on Duke’s campus will have something new to read while they’re zoning out their professors and surfing the internet during 10:05 lectures.
Covering everything from new theatrical releases, to your favorite actors’ and directors’ birthdays, to the best movies for college students coming to Netflix every month, DIFF’s Editorial page will present fresh and inventive content that is perfect for the time-crunched life that every Duke student knows all too well, so that you can stay up to date on what’s happening in the world of cinema, both on-campus and around the world.
In order to make our content more easily accessible to everybody, all of our content will be reposted on social media, so be sure to follow our Facebook and Instagram pages!
On behalf of the DIFF executive team, we thank you for your continued support of our festival, and hope you will join us in our new efforts to provide a diverse experience for cinematic consumption at Duke!
