RFP for the Mandel Center for Hypertension and Atherosclerosis at Duke (due Nov 13)

OVERVIEW:  The Mandel Center is pleased to announce its 2016 Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide support for innovative research into the causes and treatment of hypertension, atherosclerosis and related cardiovascular diseases.

The Mandel Center for Hypertension and Atherosclerosis at Duke has been established to advance scientific understanding in the areas of hypertension, atherosclerosis, and related cardiovascular diseases.  Based on the goals  of the Mandel Foundation, our vision for this center is built on our commitment to positively influence research in the fields of hypertension and atherosclerosis by creating an expanding core of established faculty, early career fellows, and students, all focused on pursuing knowledge in these areas.

FUNDING:  Awards of $50,000 (direct) will be provided to support (3) one-year grants and (1) one-year fellowship.   Recipients will be notified in early December 2015 for a grant start date of January 1, 2016.
