Welcome New Hospitalists in DukeMedicine
The DukeMedicine Hospitalist Program welcomes Adam Spain and Aparna Kamath, the newest Duke Regional Hospital hospitalists. Adam returns to Duke from the University of Miami where he completed his residency and prior to that was a Duke medical student. Aparna comes to us from the U Iowa where she was a leader in QI and received a Masters in Clinical Investigation as well as being a VA Quality Scholar.
The division also received notice of the new faculty appointment for Dr. Colby Feeney who is already on board at Duke Regional Hospital. This past year Dr. Feeney completed the Duke combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency. During her training she received a Pediatric teaching award and participated in a quality improvement project to improve communication with patients and their families.
Please say “hello” and welcome these new members when you see them.
Congratulations Informatics Graduate
Congratulations are due to this DukeMedicine hospitalist, Dr. Jon Lovins, who completed the Duke Master of Management in Clinical Informatics (MMCi). Jon joins a remarkable crowd of graduates, including another hospitalist, Dr. Brian Griffith. The program is about the merger of data science and management within health systems.
