Faculty, fellows, students and staff are invited to attend the Duke Health Disparities Research Colloquium, which will be held April 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Searle Center.
The colloquium will include keynote addresses from Yvonne Maddox, acting director of NIHMD; Ebony Boulware, MD, chief of the Duke Division of General Internal Medicine; and Steve Patierno, PhD, deputy director of the Duke Cancer Institute. This colloquium will focus on racial and ethnic disparities, but principles, methods, and examples will be applicable to gender-related and other disparities.
The colloquium is free but registration is required. Junior faculty, students and trainees can submit an abstract for a 10-minute oral presentation of their health disparities research. The deadline for submission is March 1. Read more, or register.
