Duke Health Disparities Research Colloquium Coming in April

Health Disparities Colloquium April 17 (1)Faculty, fellows, students and staff are invited to attend the Duke Health Disparities Research Colloquium, which will be held April 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Searle Center.

The colloquium will include keynote addresses from Yvonne Maddox, acting director of NIHMD; Ebony Boulware, MD, chief of the Duke Division of General Internal Medicine; and Steve Patierno, PhD, deputy director of the Duke Cancer Institute. This colloquium will  focus on racial and ethnic disparities, but principles, methods, and examples will be applicable to gender-related and other disparities.

The colloquium is free but registration is required. Junior faculty, students and trainees can submit an abstract for a 10-minute oral presentation of their health disparities research.  The deadline for submission is March 1. Read more, or register.
