  • Science Drive Garage Permit- default for Graduate and Professional Students
    • $258/year
      • If you buy after start date of permit, cost will be prorated by the month (call to make sure what day of the month the price goes down)
      • If you cancel before Jan. 31, you will receive a credit for the remaining value of the permit
    • About 10-15min walk to French Family Science Center (FFSC)
  • Carpool Permit
    • Prices 
      • Two participants: split the cost of an annual pass
      • Three participants: $87/year 
    • Must submit application 
      • NOT always approved; Duke Parking and Transportation decides if carpooling makes sense (can’t live too far from other person wanting to carpool)
    • Only one physical pass given per carpool group
    • Each participant is eligible for 2 free daily parking passes per month to use on days they may want to drive by themselves.  
  • After Hours Permit- late night/weekend pass 
    • FREE!
    • Valid 5pm-6:59am on weekdays, all day Saturday and Sunday, and all University Holidays 
    • Can be used in most lots on campus 
    • Good option for those intending to walk to school 
    • Science Drive Garage and Carpool permits can be used in most lots after hours in this same way  
  • You can register as a bike commuter! 
    • You are eligible for 2 free daily parking passes per month to use on days you may want to drive your car. 
    • You cannot enroll as a full-time bike commuter and hold an individual parking permit.

How do I pay for my parking pass?

  1. Go to DukeHub
  2. Sign in
  3. On your dashboard, click on the “financials” tab
  4. Under recent transactions, click on view more
  5. Confirm the cost of your parking pass here, write down this number
  6. On the left, expand the Financials tab, and select “What I Owe”
  7. First, don’t freak out if this number is crazy big…that’s normal and you don’t actually have to pay that
  8. Click on “Make a Payment”
  9. Choose how you would like to pay
  10. Enter the amount you wrote down in 5. Yes, we agree it’s strange you have to enter the amount instead of clicking somewhere that you want to pay for parking.
