Shuyang focuses her research on the neural mechanism of motor learning. At APDCC, Shuyang is responsible for establishing collaborations with firms interested in pro-bono consulting services and leading ongoing projects. Shuyang enjoys interacting with different people and helping others. In her spare time, Shuyang loves traveling, kayaking, and playing LEGOS.

Co-President: Ricky Hollenbach (richard.hollenbach@duke.edu), 3rd year Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering

 

 

 

 

Ricky is studying non-synchronous vibrations in jet engines and steam turbines, utilizing a combination of experimental wind tunnel testing, computational fluid dynamics, and a Van der Pol based mathematical model. He earned a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with minors in German and Math from the University of Pittsburgh. Ricky recently completed an internship with Rolls-Royce in their Aeromechanics group. Last year, Ricky was a co-chair for the 2020 Case Competition.

Professional Development Chair: Jason Arne (jason.arne@duke.edu), 4th year Ph.D. in the Department of Biochemistry

 

 

Jason Arne matriculated at Duke after receiving a B.S. in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University. He studies the regulatory mechanisms that control protein synthesis. After graduate school, Jason would like to leverage his analytical and project management skills to tackle an array of diverse problems that consultants face daily. As Head of Professional Development, Jason is committed to providing programming to prepare graduate students for careers after graduation.
