In a nutshell, what do you do at Duke University Libraries?
I am responsible for maintaining the budget for the DUL Collections Dept. Those duties entail issuing payments, clearing expenses, reconciling those funds, and any other financial tasks that may be needed to assist my department. I am also a part of the DUL Events Planning Committee, & I love working with that team to create events for all DUL staff to enjoy!
If you had to pick one thing, what’s the best part of your job so far?
My team is absolutely incredible. I love how we all step in and help one another when necessary. I am grateful for all of the opportunities presented to learn and grow in the DUL Finance Dept.
What the best thing you’ve read/watched/listened to recently?
I am currently catching up on the 4th season of Sullivan’s Crossing.
What do you like most about living in The Triangle?
Being near my family and finding hidden gems that are beginning to pop up everywhere in The Triangle.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love to indulge in the peaceful environment of my home and spending time with my son and family. Music is my medicine, food is my addiction, and great company keeps me going!
