Brent McKnight
President
Brent is from Charlotte, North Carolina, and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in History and Global Studies, with a minor in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Before attending law school, Brent worked in non-profit fundraising in Asheville, NC. At Duke, Brent is an Executive Editor on Duke Law Journal and a member of the Moot Court Board, where he served as a co-coordinator of the 2019 Jessup Cup. Brent spent his 1L summer conducting research for a Duke professor and interning with Senior Associate Justice
Paul M. Newby of the North Carolina Supreme Court.
Jordan Ryan
Executive Vice President-External
Jordan was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2018 (go Irish!), where she majored in Political Science and Peace Studies, and minored in Constitutional Studies. At Duke, she serves as a Guardian ad litem for youth in Durham County, a staff editor on the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Policy, and is a member of the Moot Court Board and Mock Trial Board. During her 1L summer, she worked as a law clerk in the Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Aaron Sanders
Executive Vice President – Internal
Aaron is from Chapin, South Carolina and received his B.A. from the University of South Carolina Honors College in 2015, majoring in history. After graduation, Aaron commissioned into the U.S. Air Force as a munitions maintenance officer, and spent his first assignment in Germany’s Eifel region. At Duke, he remains on active-duty, attending school through the Funded Legal Education Program (FELP). Aaron spent his 1L summer at the Shaw AFB legal office in Sumter, SC. Aaron is on the Mock Trial Board and is a staff editor on the journal Law & Contemporary Problems.
Olivia Sone
Vice President for Social Affairs
Olivia was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2018 where she studied both Rhetoric and Writing and Business. Upon graduating, Olivia joined the Duke Law Class of 2021. In addition to her role with the Federalist Society, she is also on the board of the Texas Club. Olivia spent her 1L summer doing transactional work at Norton Rose Fulbright in Dallas and plans to return for her 2L summer.
Brock Baker
Vice President for Academic Affairs
Brock is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee and is a 2017 graduate of Furman University. While at Furman, he double majored in Politics & International Affairs and Spanish. He minored in Poverty Studies. Brock spent his 1L summer at Thompson & Knight in Dallas, Texas, where he will return for his 2L summer.
Luke Harley
Vice President for Career Development
Luke is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Maryland in 2017 with a B.A. in Government & Politics. Before coming to Duke, Luke spent a year as a paralegal in a small firm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He is a fan of weightlifting, collecting shoes, and pop culture documentaries.

Jay Wolfe
Vice President for Alumni Initiatives
Jay is from Chapin, South Carolina and graduated from Wofford College where he received a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Government. After graduation, Jay served in the Governor’s Office of South Carolina, first as a Policy Advisor to Governor Nikki Haley and subsequently as the Budget and Policy Advisory to Governor Henry McMaster for whom he led the development of the Governor’s Executive Budget. At Duke, Jay is an Articles Editor on Duke Law Journal and is a member of both the Moot Court and Mock Trial boards. He also volunteers with the Cancer Pro Bono Project. During his 1L summer, Jay worked as a summer associate for Nelson Mullins in their Columbia, SC office and as an intern to Justice Sarah Warren on the Georgia Supreme Court.
Sebastian Laguna

Sebastian is originally from Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from the University of Arizona in 2018 with degrees in finance and political science. This summer, Sebastian worked for the Senate Judiciary Committee in Washington, DC, where he worked on policy hearings, judicial confirmations, and legislative proposals. At Duke, Sebastian is a staff editor on the journal Law & Contemporary Problems.
