Jack Fines
Co-President
Jack is from Pepper Pike, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, and graduated from Duke University in 2015 with a B.A. in History and Political Science. Before attending law school, Jack worked as a litigation paralegal at a boutique law firm in Boston, Massachusetts. At Duke Law, Jack is a member of the Mock Trial Board. He spent his 1L summer working with the SEC’s Trial Unit in Washington, D.C. Outside of law school, Jack enjoys fly fishing and struggling to complete half marathons.

Michael Wajda
Co-President
Michael Wajda was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2015 where he majored in Economics and completed two minors: Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) and Constitutional Studies. After graduation, Michael moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, to work for Causeway Solutions, a political data company, at which he designed, fielded, and analyzed public opinion polls, created models to predict voter behavior, and advised local and statewide campaigns on political strategy regarding voter contact.  At Duke Law, Michael is a Student Coordinator for the Cancer Pro Bono Project; a LEAD orientation fellow; a Twiggs-Beskind Tournament Coordinator for the Mock Trial Board; and a Student Representative on the Judicial Appeals Board. This summer, Michael worked as a Judicial Intern for Judge Eric G. Bruggink on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in Washington, DC.

Mark Rothrock
Executive Vice President – External
Mark is from Midway, North Carolina and received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010, where he majored in History and Religious Studies, and his M.A. in Political Science from Columbia University in 2017. After graduation from UNC, Mark served as an armor officer in the United States Marine Corps for seven years, including a combat deployment to Afghanistan in 2012. At Duke Law, he serves as a Vice President for the Transactional Law Society. Mark will spend his 1L summer working at three North Carolina law firms: Brooks Pierce, Smith Anderson, and Wyrick Robbins.

Harrison Newman
Co-Executive Vice President – Internal
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Harrison is a proud fifth-generation yinzer. He graduated from Penn in 2017 and spent the summer before law school on a solo backpacking trip in East Asia. Harrison spent his 1L summer at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago.

Rina Plotkin
Co-Executive Vice President – Internal
Rina is from Toronto, Canada (the 6) and is a 2017 graduate of NYU, where she majored in History and minored in Computer Science and Math. Rina spent her 1L summer at Apple in Cupertino, California, working on corporate legal matters. She loves elephants, whitewater kayaking, and 90s sitcoms.

Zach Henson
Vice President for Social Affairs
Zachary graduated magna cum laude from Eastern Kentucky University in 2017, where he majored in History with a minor in Political Science. Zachary spent his 1L summer as a judicial intern with Judges Hughes on the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Seth Euster
Co-Vice President for Academics
Seth graduated from the University of Georgia in 2016 –earning undergraduate degrees in political science and history and a masters in political science. A native of Atlanta, Seth spent the year before law school as a researcher and writer at the Atlanta History Center. At Duke Law, he is a member of the Moot Court Board.

Ryan Kirk
Co-Vice President for Academics
Ryan is from Philadelphia and a graduate of Drexel University, where he studied Economics. Prior to Duke Law, he worked in commercial damages consulting for Baker Tilly Virchow Krause. He will spend his 1L summer at Wilkes & McHugh in Philadelphia.

Daniel Behrman
Co-Vice President for Career Development
Daniel is from Silver Spring, MD and is a 2017 graduate of the University of Michigan, where graduated with a degree in Economics and Political Science. At Duke Law, he serves as a member of the community outreach team for the Innocence Project. Daniel spent his 1L summer working as a law clerk at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Mark Hollwedel

Ryan Arredondo
Vice President for Membership
Ryan graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics. After graduation, he worked as an analyst and project manager for Mercer Consulting’s actuarial healthcare practice, where he led multiple projects pertaining to the Affordable Care Act and other Medicaid reform initiatives. At Duke Law, he participates in various student-led organizations, such as Hispanic Law Student Association, First Generation Professionals, and Duke Bar Association. Ryan is working as a Research Assistant for his 1L summer.

Natalie Pita
Vice President for Alumni
Natalie graduated from the University of South Carolina Honors College in 2017 with majors in international business, economics, and Spanish and minors in journalism and dance. She is interested in international law, and is a joint JD/LLM in international and comparative law student. She spent the past summer working at a firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is fluent in Spanish. At Duke Law, she is also involved in Moot Court Board, Mock Trial Board, International Law Society, and Business Law Society. Outside of law school, she occasionally writes for The New York Times.

Sarah Koelling
Treasurer
Sarah graduated summa cum laude from Boston College in 2016, where she majored in History. She interned for a year at Maiona & Ward, an immigration law firm in Boston. At Duke Law, Sarah is involved in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Project and the Duke Immigrant and Refugee Project.
