Patrick Butler ’19
President
Patrick is from Garden City, New York. He graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2015 with a BA in History and English. He received an MA in International Relations from the University College Dublin, where he played on the Men’s Varsity Basketball Team and received First Class Honors. During his 1L summer, he worked for the Hon. Richard J. Leon of the District Court for the District of Columbia. For his 2L summer, he will be working for Kirkland & Ellis in Washington DC. At Duke, he is also an Executive Editor for the Duke Law Journal, a Director for Street Law Durham County Youth Home, and a member of the Duke Law Basketball Team.

Andrea Beathard ’19
Vice President – External
Andrea is from Argyle, Texas. She graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2014 with a BS in Civil Engineering. Before law school, she worked as a design engineer at Fluor Corporation in Sugar Land, Texas. During her 1L summer she interned at the Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. and will return to D.C. as a summer associate at Jones Day this summer. At Duke, Andrea is also an articles editor for the Duke Law Journal, a volunteer with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA), and captain of a team in the Duke Law bowling league.

Logan Page ’19
Vice President – Internal
Logan grew up in Massillon, Ohio.  After graduating from Boston College, he worked as a litigation paralegal at Paul, Weiss in New York City for two years.  He worked as a Research Assistant for Prof. Sara Sun Beale during his 1L summer, and will be a Summer Associate at Ropes & Gray in 2018.  He is a member of the Moot Court Board an Articles Editor for the Duke Law Journal.  In his spare time, Logan enjoys playing soccer and losing at trivia.

Rina Plotkin ’20

Rina is a from Toronto, Canada (the 6) and is a 2017 graduate of NYU, where she majored in History and minored in Computer Science and Math. Rina will spend her 1L summer working at Apple in Cupertino, California.

Michael graduated from Villanova University in 2016. At Villanova he majored in philosophy and history. Here at Duke he focuses on government service. He spent his 1L summer at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia where he worked on National Security cases. He will return to D.C. for a 2L summer in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Honors Program.

Michael Wajda ’20
Treasurer
Michael graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2015 with a major in Economics and minors in Constitutional Studies and Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. After graduation, he worked as a political data consultant at Causeway Solutions, where he built predictive models of voters and advised local campaigns, state parties, and nonprofits on voter contact strategies. At Duke Law, he serves as a Representative on the Judicial Appeals Board and is a member of the Mock Trial Board.
