What an important topic! I think thanks to Covid and politics and so much more, many of our patients ( and probably many of us) don’t sleep well. Read about how several discussants would treat a 64-year-old patient with insomnia 90% of the time, which has been ongoing for decades. Table 1 is very helpful and details strategies used for Cognitive Behavioral therapy. Monotherapy with focusing solely on sleep hygiene is often ineffective. There is a discussion of meds that can be tried and possible side effects.
