This is a little more detailed than most of the review articles I normally recommend. But this is an important problem. The authors feel that DOACs can be used in this population but emphasize that shared decision should occur because of some limitation to the amount of evidence and experience that exists with treating morbidly obese when anticoagulation is indicated.
