Though almost 20 years old, still quite valuable and germane to our work as clinician educators. The importance of shared mutual respect, a safe learning environment, timely constructive feedback, and being prepared for dealing with the student’s response to feedback were all reviewed. Also, the writer discusses how we as teachers should be responsive also to suggestions from our students for how we can improve upon the feedback we give to learners.
