Aiming for Equity in Clerkship Grading: Recommendations for Reducing the Effects of Structural and Individual Bias – 11/01/2021

We need to continue to examine what structural factors and biases might still exist that could perpetuate inequities in assessment. Our teachers need to attend faculty development and focus upon best practices for writing narrative assessments.  There is an action suggested that we need to avoid overemphasis on knowledge-based standardized exams.
