Rachel Darius

Rachel Darius (New York, USA) is a first year student at Duke Kunshan University. She has three siblings, and a dog named Domino. She plans on majoring in Media Arts, and through her vlog she hopes to share her unique experiences and thoughts about her time here at DKU.

BD

I am BD (Blue Demon). Although I am just a rookie vlogger who has no previous experience before college at all, I will use my crazy ideas to make my vlog one of a kind. I believe it is the content instead of skills that grants a vlog the power to touch people’s hearts.

Haitong Lin

Haitong Lin was born and raised in Guangzhou, China and is currently an undergraduate student at Duke Kunshan. She likes to make videos to record her life but has never tried editing them before making this short documentary. Haitong enjoys dancing and reading in her free time.

Chunxin Tang

I’m Tang Chunxin 唐纯欣 from Suzhou, Jiangsu province. I have a deep love for this city—its gardens, customs and so many things. I speak and love the dialect in Suzhou. As I fell for Chinese culture, doing Chinese calligraphy and playing the zheng are my hobbies as well. I also love traveling and am excited to make friends with every one of you from different cultural backgrounds.

Ryan Trombly

I’ve always been interesting in capturing and cataloguing my thoughts at various points in my life. This vlog serves as a reflection of my first semester of college, of all the mixed emotions that comes with new experiences. I hope you all enjoying seeing some of these moments from my life these past few months!

Xinyi Wen

Xinyi (Wendy) Wen is a 19-year-old freshman in Duke Kunshan University. She is a Hunanese who has grown up in Beijing, and she can neither speak Hunan dialect nor Beijing dialect. Only Mandarin. Well, also a little English. She is interested in film making but she is so pathetic that she hasn’t enrolled in any media classes successfully during 2018 Fall semester. So, the video she is going to show is produced by a student who has studied math, statistics and integrated science. So you know what she has suffered.

Yulai Yang

I am a girl who knew less about how to make videos before I began my vlog project. I  do not always have confidence in the videos I took. I will definitely be embarrassed when watching it in the ballroom. But I hope it will bring you something, either a sweet memory or thoughtful meditation. Nice to talk to you via my videos.
