Team Members
Prof. Keping Wu is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Duke Kunshan University. Prof. Wu has conducted over two decades of ethnographic fieldwork in Suzhou and her recent interest lies in the entanglement of places, material culture, and bodies of ordinary people, especially women, in the making of art, cultural heritage, and the social fabric.
Run Hong is a Cultural Anthropology student at Duke Kunshan University and a native of Suzhou. As the project’s primary student researcher and curator, she conducts ethnographic research, field visits, photography, and interviews with embroiderers across generations and backgrounds.
Junyi Yu, is a recent graduate of Media and Arts major at Duke Kunshan University. Her work explores documentary storytelling, community, and the capacity of visual narratives to deepen understanding of culture and human connection.
