What if the only way to survive tonight was to become someone else?
This Wednesday, DKU Film Society presents Coherence (2013), James Ward Byrkit’s directorial debut. Eight friends sit down to dinner as a comet crosses overhead. Then the lights fail, and down the street, in a house that shouldn’t exist, they see themselves. As photographs, objects, and choices stop matching, the night splinters into parallel realities. Improvised and confined to a single location, the film turns quantum theory into a bewildering, escalating nightmare about trust, identity, and the desperate urge to take the life of a better version of you. Screening will be followed by a discussion on doubles, reality, and the choices that make us who we are.
Date: Wednesday, September 16th, 6:30pm
Location: CCTE Theatre
