This Wednesday, DKU Film Society will present to you the movie Linda Linda Linda (2005). Four high school girls scrambling to prepare for a cultural festival after everything falls apart at the last minute. What follows is less a story of success than a process of adjustment — rehearsals that stall, conversations that don’t quite land, a song repeated until it slowly becomes their own. The film never rushes toward resolution; instead, it lingers in the gaps between intention and execution, where uncertainty feels more real than confidence. Its humor slips in quietly, carried by timing, hesitation, and the gentle absurdity of trying to do something you’re not quite ready for. However, it is never about whether preparing well or not, because something has already taken shape in the act of trying.
