
The DKU Humanities Research Center (HRC) is pleased to announce its annual Spring Conference 2026, which will be held at DKU on April 3, 2026. The conference theme is “Nature and Society,” and Ásta (Professor of Philosophy, Duke University) and Liang Liang Zhang (Assistant Professor of Global China Studies, NYU Shanghai) will serve as keynote speakers.
Current undergraduate students in at DKU are invited to submit abstracts.
- Papers must be written in English.
- Papers must be unpublished research that has not been presented at a previous HRC conference.
- Papers may be on any topic in the Humanities, including the arts, humanities, interpretive social sciences. They do not necessarily have to address the conference theme.
- Papers must be by a single author.
- Each student may submit only one paper.
- Prizes of 1000 RMB will be awarded to the best papers.

- Feb 9: Information session on preparing a submission: Zoom TBD.
- Feb 27: Deadline for submitting applications and abstracts.
- March 6: Acceptance decisions announced.
- March 27: Deadline for submitting full papers to be considered for prize.
- April 3: Conference.
