Information for Advisors:
If a student places out of a course, the advisor and student can look under “course history” in SIS Advisor Center with a PLC designation. Under course history in SIS, there will be a dummy course (Math 23, BIOL 23, etc.) worth 0 credits, with a grade of PLC if the student passed and is eligible to use the placement test as a pre-req for a higher level course. Placement exams are expected to be in the system by the group advising meeting on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.
For students who placed out, they are not able to enroll themselves into the higher level course and will need to email the Office of the Registrar (email@example.com) to enroll.
First-year students may not take the placement exams at a later date. The only students who may still take them are the Class of 2022 students who signed up and were not on campus last Friday.
