I hope your summer was pleasant and enjoyable. I am Zhaoyu Sun, the president of the DJLS for the 2022-23 academic year.

As with the last academic year, our organization shall continue to strive to provide students with an interest in Japan with a forum to communicate and socialize. To forward this goal, we have planned the following events for this academic year:

  1. Firm spotlight with White & Case Tokyo (Winter 2022);
  2. Joint lecture with Duke International Law Society and the International Human Rights Clinic (TBD);
  3. Alumni Career Spotlight (Spring 2023).

Once again, please accept my best wishes for the upcoming academic year, and I look forward to meeting you all.

Thank You for Attending the Event!

Thank you so much for attending tonight’s event! The turnout was way above our initial expectations (all the pizzas we ordered are taken), and I sincerely hope the conversation with Mr. Harris and Mr. Takenaka could be of guidance to you in your job search and your legal career.
Please feel free to email me if there is any input you’d like to share about today’s event, or if you have any ideas about what you wish to see in the future events of DJLS.
Good luck with your finals, and I hope to see you all this fall!
