Kyle Endres

Assistant Professor, University of Northern Iowa

Kyle is the Associate Director of the Center for Social and Behavioral Research and Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). He completed his PhD in Government at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining UNI, he was a postdoc at the Duke Initiative on Survey Methodology and a predoctoral research fellow at the Center for Electoral Politics and Democracy at Fordham University.

He researches political campaigns, participation, and political behavior, with a focus on how electoral campaigns and interest groups use data analytics to exploit competing issue, partisan, and racial predispositions to influence who participates in politics (and how they participate). His research investigates how targeted policy information drives some individuals away from electoral politics, while motivating non-electoral engagement such as political consumerism.
