Shizu 世祖 Emepror of the Yuan 元 dynasty (1271-1368) is Kublai Khan. But this story is most likely merely borrowing his name to set up the historical background. As the prequel, Destiny by a Jade Bracelet, is set in the Song 宋 dynasty (960-1279), this story is set in the subsequent Yuan dynasty.
