Why DEID?
The opportunity to partner with DEID is what drew me to Duke. Past projects, from footbridges to improved water infrastructures, demonstrate sustainability in both their attentiveness to the environment and in their ability to be maintained by the local community. My involvement with DEID is a stepping stone to a career in civil engineering, and it’s led me to a vibrant community of scholars.
