Panama 2016

This year we are partnering with the University of Toronto to construct a suspended footbridge in a small community near Lidice, Panama. The Rio Bonito river runs directly through the community and is impassable during the 6-month rainy season. Thus, the bridge will provide access to markets, health care, schools, and other services to 80-100 community members. We are currently working on processing site data and coming up with the design of the bridge. At the end of the summer, two Duke team members will travel with the Toronto team for 3 weeks and construct the bridge.
