Marshall Electronics has been generating a lot of buzz this past week with two new HDMI to USB 3.0 converters, the VAC-11SU3 and the VAC-11HU3 (one is just under $400.00 and the other just over $400.00).
Previously. Vaddio had a corner on this market with their AV Bridge, which costs about $1500.00. These devices captured Streaming Media’s Best in Show award for NAB this year, which you can read about here.
Marshall says the converters work with Windows, Linux, and Mac (OS 10.8+) systems and have been tested with Windows Media Encoder, Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, VLC, QuickTime Broadcast, QuickTime Player, Wirecast, Skype, Microsoft Lync, and Go To Meeting.
