The Polaroid Cube (99$), released on 9/23/14, has retro styling and at less than 1.5 inches square is smaller than the Hero. It’s been designed with durability in mind, and like the Hero offers a waterproof case as well as handlebar mounts for bikes. It seems to target both sports and lifestyle markets, and may be something kids will want to use. It has simple controls, including a single button on top for video and stills.
