Haivision Encoder Giveaway

Haivision is donating free Haivision Makito HD 1080p60 H.264 video encoders  for use within higher education classes or lab environments. The first respondents who meet the qualifying criteria will receive a pair of encoder appliances.

The program is called HaiSchool Applied. The goal is to support curricula that focus on network video and media management technology so that students may exercise the technology, learn, and begin to create advanced media applications. 

Back in June, Chip and I went to a Haischool training session to learn about Haivision appliances, which excel at low latency streaming. Our report can be found here: http://sites.duke.edu/ddmc/?p=1774
