The new line of GoPro HD cameras was announced today, and it’s sure to make a huge splash among those interested in capturing sports and action footage.
The cameras are quite a bit smaller than previous models, and have some amazing specs. For example, the top of the line model, called the GoPro HD Hero 3 Black Edition, offers the following:
- Up to 4K/15fps, 2.7K/30fps, 1440p/48fps, 1080p/60fps, 960p/100fps, 720p/120fps
- Up to 12MP photos
- New photo burst modes with up to 30 shots per second
- WiFi built in
- Remote Control Included ($79.95 otherwise)
- Protune, White Balance, Continuous Photo, and Picture in Video capabilities
- Improved Housing (Locking Latch / Dive Lens)
List price for the Black Edition is $399. There are two other models (white and silver), which are $199 and $299 respectively.
