About Me

In summer 2017, I will complete my Ph.D. in Public Policy at Duke University and join the faculty in the Department of Public and Nonprofit Administration at the University of Memphis.

My primary research field is applied microeconomics, with a focus on the nonprofit sector, philanthropy, and industrial organization. My research agenda focuses on market structure and competition in the nonprofit context. The nonprofit sector in the United States has experienced dramatic growth in the past two decades. My current work explores how this growth affects competition among nonprofits, nonprofit organization behavior, and philanthropic giving.
